Purchased the F2 pickup for my Mexican Fender Precision Bass. I also installed a Fender high mass bridge at the same time. In my opinion it is a much better tone than the stock ceramic magnet pickup. The combination of the 2 mods has really made this bass sing.
A note for installing the pickup. The pickup does not come with pickup screws and I got a kit of 4 screws and 4 support springs so the pickup was properly installed on springs rather than the foam blocks used by the Mexican P Bass.
I have SD pickups on another P Bass and the F2 is just as good if not better sound. Sound is so subjective.
To top it off, I was able to sell the original bridge and pickups on a local web site significantly reducing the cost of the upgrade.
