About two weeks ago, a batch of shipments we sent off were significantly delayed. Most of them ended up at a USPS sorting facility in Boise, Idaho for unknown reasons. After their vacation to Boise, they went to their respective destinations, including some on the East Coast! While we are not sure why a package originating from Detroit, Michigan and destined for the East Coast would make a pit stop in Idaho, the fact that all of the packages in that batch of shipments ended up in Idaho suggests that someone at USPS sorted them into the wrong bin. Recent shipments have been taking more direct routes to their destinations, so we think the domestic shipping delays we reported on earlier were a false alarm. We will keep everyone updated if we notice any new delays but for now, everything seems nominal. Carry on and rock on!
UPDATE: See this post.
From Epic Custom Shop to everyone in the world, we hope that you all are staying healthy and coping well with the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately the pandemic has afflicted our hometown of Detroit, Michigan more so than many other cities in the US. As of May 10, 2020, we are noticing that many packages we have shipped out have been delayed in transit. We believe this may be due to ongoing staffing issues at USPS. If the delays persist, we will look into alternative shipping options. We apologize for any delays and thank you all for your support. Stay safe, stay healthy, and please support your local businesses, essential employees, and healthcare workers. Rock on!
