I have an Ibanez Talman TMB 100 with the stock ceramic Dynamix P Neck & J Bridge pickups. I replaced the stock Custom Electronics 2-band EQ with a small company’s Korean made system, which help greatly. Unfortunately, the stock pickups were still too hot and lacked any kind of warmth.
After installing the PJ2 set, the bass guitar came to life. It didn’t overdrive at the slightest touch. It has a wonderfully warm tone. Very tonally balanced. The J pup balances well with the P pup in both volume and tone. The bridge J pup sounds full, yet still sounds like a J bridge. It’s the first J bridge that I have liked solo. At their price, they can’t beat!
I can see myself getting the E2 set for my Jazz Bass and the F2 for my Precision Bass, as I love the tones I’m getting from them.
BTW, I wrote this a few days after installing them, just to make sure it wasn’t just the Honeymoon phase of a new product.
